Carroll Shelby Licensing And Shelby American Automobile Club Forge New Agreement

Gardena, Calif. – August 9, 2008 – Executives with Carroll Shelby Licensing Inc. and the owners of the Shelby American Automobile Club signed an agreement that will create a new relationship between the organizations. The licensing agreement was signed in Los Angeles, Calif., on August 8 2008.

As the contract is a private agreement, the complete terms will not be released. Highlights include restructuring the SAAC board of directors, preservation and expansion of the official SAAC Registry and a new US$1.00 annual license for SAAC with complete compliance of all requirements. In addition, all original Shelby records and documents will be returned to Mr. Shelby so they can be made available to the public at the redesigned Shelby Automobiles museum in Las Vegas. Under the agreement, SAAC will cater to those who are interested in 1960s-70s vintage Shelby cars while the new factory authorized Team Shelby will focus on serving enthusiasts with current generation Shelby vehicles and non-Ford based Shelbys.
